Scale AI delivery without
scaling technical risk.
Senior technical leadership for consultancies building AI-enabled products and services.
Technical decisions are business decisions.
THE PROBLEM
Your AI ambitions have outgrown
your technical leadership.
Your consultancy has started building AI products and delivering AI-enabled client work. As delivery accelerates, so do the technical decisions, the defects, the architecture questions and the operational risk.
Struggling technology programmes rarely fail because someone didn't know another framework. They fail because technical decisions, ownership and business priorities stop aligning. That is where 2MG works.
What it looks like from the inside
Symptoms
- Defects that keep coming back
- Unpredictable delivery
- Mounting technical debt
- Unclear architecture
- Developers and consultants pulling in different directions
- The CEO has become the technical escalation point
Business consequences
- Margin erosion
- Delayed delivery
- Unhappy clients
- Expensive rework
- Inability to scale
- Reputational risk
HOW 2MG HELPS
Assess. Stabilise. Establish technical leadership. Scale.
-
01
Assess
A fixed-scope Technical Delivery Risk Assessment: where the risk sits, what it costs the business, and what to do first.
-
02
Stabilise
Establish the engineering controls, decision-making and ownership that stop rework and unpredictable delivery.
-
03
Establish technical leadership
Senior technical judgement inside the business, without hiring a permanent executive.
-
04
Scale
Grow AI delivery without proportionally increasing cost, defects or risk.
CREDIBILITY
Twenty years of consequential
technical decisions.
2MG is principal-led. Every engagement is led directly by a senior technologist with more than 20 years and 200+ software delivery projects behind them — in healthcare, financial services, insurance, RegTech and consultancy, including NHS-regulated environments where failure has real consequences.
The common thread is not industry. It is making consequential technology decisions under commercial and regulatory pressure, and being accountable for the outcome.

STAGE ONE
Technical Delivery Risk Assessment
A short, fixed-scope review of your engineering organisation, AI development practices, architecture, delivery process and technical decision-making. One to two weeks elapsed.
You receive an executive report, not a 70-page architecture document: each risk, its business consequence, a recommendation, a priority and the investment required.

STAGE TWO
Technical Control in 90 days
In 90 days, establish the technical decision-making, engineering controls and delivery practices needed to scale your AI work without proportionally increasing cost and risk.
Not a transformation programme. The objective is technical control: clearer architecture, engineering standards, less rework, appropriate use of AI coding agents, clear ownership and a prioritised technical roadmap.

ONGOING
Fractional CTO — ongoing technical leadership
Once technical control is established, ongoing senior technical judgement on a retained basis — one or two days a week — without hiring a permanent executive. Sometimes called CTO as a service, or a part-time, virtual or interim CTO; the substance is the same.
You are not buying days. You are buying the technical decisions being made well, consistently, by someone accountable for them.
Discuss a technical challenge
Tell us what is not working — unpredictable delivery, an AI product that is harder to ship than it should be, a technical decision you need a second opinion on. A conversation costs nothing.
